Lilith is the antagonist in Diablo 4. Despite (or because of) being the antagonist, some players seem to be attracted to her. A journalist therefore asked Blizzard the all-important question: Can we ask Lilith on a date?
What is the answer to the question? Game Director Joe Shely initially misunderstood the question. He thought the journalist would ask if it was possible to play Lilith.
General Manager Rod Fergusson, on the other hand, burst out laughing. The short answer: no. (via pcgamesn.com)
But the two Blizzard employees understand where the feelings for Lilith come from. Lilith is not just a villain, but a character with a lot of depth. She doesn’t just kill people because she’s mad, she has her own motivation. This humanizes her even more, which can be attractive to players:
By defining these supernatural powers in more human terms, we have the opportunity for players to relate to them in a different way than just as an antagonist.

Lilith and Inarius in a dating sim
Is there a dating sim now? Fergusson smiles and says he’ll make a note that fans are interested in a Diablo dating sim. He heard the wish “loud and clear.”
And actually that would not be so improbable: Blizzard’s hero shooter Overwatch already had a dating sim called LoverWatch, in which we could date characters from Overwatch.
The game did have some dialogues that made others feel ashamed and overly sexualized representations of the characters, but for lovers of certain characters, the dating sim is probably the right alternative to the actual game.

Besides Lilith, for example, her opponent Inarius could be a character we can ask out. The Butcher would also be a possible candidate for all those who like harder and more robust types.
But we shouldn’t take Fergusson’s comment as official endorsement. In Diablo 4, the characters have more depth than in the previous series, but they are not as prominent as in Overwatch.
