Israeli forces, who have killed 28 children since the beginning of 2023, have signed another scandalous event. Israeli soldiers raided the nearby town of Nebi Salih on the grounds of finding Palestinians who fired at the illegal Jewish settlement Neveh Tzuf in the West Bank on June 1, and closed the entrances and exits to the town. During the raid, 2-year-old Mohammed was wounded in the head and his father, Haytham Tamimi, was wounded in the shoulder as a result of the fire opened by Israeli soldiers. It was announced that the Palestinian baby died today.
“A SHAME WAR CRIME”
Ruhi Futuh, Chairman of the PLO National Council, also reacted to the incident with a statement he published.
Stating that the shooting of a baby by the occupation forces is a “shameful war crime”, Futuh emphasized that the extreme right-wing Israeli government is responsible for the baby’s death.
Noting that the international community’s silence about Israel’s crimes, including the killing of the baby, is “betrayal of justice and democracy”, Futuh demanded the United Nations to establish an investigation committee regarding this incident and Israel’s other crimes.
