The Parel van Baarn foundation, a group of critical residents of Baarn, initially expressed a strong opposition to the plans surrounding the palace. According to them, the municipality made mistakes during the procedure. Chairman Marc van Ravels does not want to tell RTV Utrecht whether the foundation joins the course to the Council of State. He believes that the broadcaster has paid too little attention to the opponents of the palace plans in the past and therefore does not want to speak to us anymore.
