Russian troops have halted a Ukrainian offensive in the southern region of Donetsk, the Russian Defense Ministry claims overnight Monday writes Reuters.
“The enemy’s goal was to break through our defense where, according to them, it was weakest,” the Russians write.
“The enemy did not succeed”.
Russia claims to have killed 250 Ukrainian soldiers and knocked out a large number of armored vehicles and tanks.
It is not clear whether this could mean the start of the mentioned counter-offensive.
Ukraine has not commented on the data.
