Apple’s iOS has always been more successful than Android for accessing devices. Apple undoubtedly pays more attention to all its devices compared to Android. According to official figures, Apple has equipped 81% of iPhones all over the world with iOS 16 version.
So it wouldn’t surprise you to hear that iOS 16, which was first released last September, is already on 81% of iPhones. If we are content with the iPhones released only in recent years, this figure rises to 90%.
13% of all iPhones (and 8% of those released in the last four years) are running iOS 15, and the rest are running an older version.
For comparison, the latest figures from Google came in April and showed that Android 13 (the latest version was released last August) hit 12% of all devices.
