SMART ONE. After the Ascension Bridge and the long weekend of Pentecost Monday, the roads of France will be much less busy on this first weekend of June.
The month of May has closed, and with it the end of the long weekends. The Ascension Bridge and Pentecost Monday have enabled many French people to go away for a few days in the sun, often by the beaches, the beginnings of the summer holidays which are fast approaching. The last two weekends have thus seen traffic jams multiply on the roads of France, in particular in the north-western quarter of the country but also on the outskirts of large agglomerations, particularly those of the Mediterranean arc.
But after these traffic peaks observed every year at the same time – Sunday May 21 was even classified as black in the direction of returns – the return to normal is planned for this first weekend of June. If the good weather and the summer temperatures will continue, traffic will become fluid again on all the motorways in France. Something to make you want to improvise a little weekend at the sea…
