Alexander Isak has been successful in his debut season in England.

Now Isak is highly praised and compared to Erling Haaland.
Newcastle broke a new transfer record when signing Alexander Isak from Real Sociedad last summer. Many were cautious about the signing and how the Swede would actually fare in the world’s best and toughest football league.
Isaac’s success
But Isak has really succeeded in his debut season in the Premier League and silenced all critics. Ten goals were scored for the 23-year-old and he was a big reason why Newcastle reached the Champions League.

One who has really been impressed by Isak’s progress in England is the old attacking icon Emile Heskey.

Heskey pays tribute
Heskey played for Leicester, Liverpool, Birmingham, Wigan, Aston Villa and Bolton during his career and made 62 caps for the England A national team. He really knows English football and knows what it takes to succeed.

Now he sees great potential in young Isak and compares him to himself Erling Haaland who this season broke the all-time goal record in the Premier League. Heskey believes that the Swede can challenge Haaland at the top of the scoring league.
– He can score as many goals as Haaland, because you see the chances he gets. If he can create the chances going forward, there is no reason why he shouldn’t score as many goals, says the Englishman to the evening newspaper.

Erling Haaland scored an incredible 36 goals in 35 games in the Premier League this season. In total, there were 52 goals in all competitions for Manchester City.
