It was on Tuesday that the police found the bags in a 40-meter-deep ravine in Zapopan, an industrial hub and suburb of Guadalajara. In the bags were body parts from both men and women who are linked to the eight missing.
It was last week that the search for two women and six men in their 30s began. Reports of eight missing persons had come in since May 20, though independently of each other. Soon, investigators were able to establish that they came from the same workplace, a call center in Zapopan.
There are loose suspicions that the workplace engages in criminal activities, but no one has been arrested so far. Now the work begins to identify the victims.
