In the villages between Marseille and Montpellier, there is a tradition which attracts thousands of spectators, and animates all the local festivals: it is that of the Camargue race, where raseteurs, often of North African origin, stake their lives against to 400-kilo bulls trying to get cockades attached to their horns. In these same villages, however, the National Rally is making record scores in the elections, and wearing an Arab-sounding name there is not always easy.
Between displayed racism, and fascination for these athletes who put themselves in danger every day and shine the bulls bred in the region, the raseteurs of the Camargue race tell us about their daily lives.
