The man who survived the shooting in Solna yesterday is suspected of having shot the man who died.
According to information to TV4 Nyheterna, before he was shot to death, the murder victim must have managed to disarm the shooter and fire back.
When the suspected murderer lay injured on the ground, several people appeared and kicked him.
Shortly after 5pm on Tuesday, the police received several calls about ongoing shooting in Hagalund in Solna.
A large task force was sent to the crime scene, which is located between the center of the district and a school. Two shot men were found there.
One of them, a 35-year-old man, died on the spot.
The other is in his 20s and, according to TV4 Nyheternas, had been shot in the leg. He was taken to hospital by ambulance.
According to information to TV4 Nyheterna, the police have now received information about parts of the sequence of events.
Overpowered by the victim
The 35-year-old man is said to have been shot by the younger injured man. But before the older man died from the gunshot wounds, he allegedly managed to disarm the younger man and in the commotion fired back and hit him in the leg.
The police’s investigations will also show that the two men were shot with the same weapon. This according to TV4 Nyheter’s sources.
The younger was arrested and detained in hospital on suspicion of murdering the older and is himself the plaintiff for attempted murder.
The police confirm parts of the information.
– The person who is in turn suspected of attempted murder is the one who was murdered. We are trying to find out what happened in this commotion and who had what weapon. We can’t answer exactly how it happened, but it was a melee, a close melee with weapons, says Rebecca Landberg, press spokesperson at the Stockholm Police.
According to information to TV4 Nyheterna, the police are looking for more people involved.
– Since it happened in the middle of the day with a lot of movement and many witnesses and good footage, it’s about identifying and we hope for more arrests. At the same time, getting an idea of what has happened is in progress. It has been tumultuous and a very messy event, says Rebecca Landberg.
The police: Rival actors
The shot who survived was subjected to a beating after the shooting drama, the police confirm. As he lay on the ground, several men appeared and kicked and stomped on him. Footage of the attack has been shared on social media.
– The police have taken part in the footage. However, it is important to highlight that if you have filmed or seen things connected to the act, you should contact the police and not social media. So that we can include it in the entire investigative work and get an overall picture.
The shooting is linked to the gang environment and the ongoing wave of violence in Stockholm’s underworld.
– It can be said that there are two rival actors within the criminal environment, but how and why they were confronted and why it happened there and then is a situation we are still working with.
Prosecutor Josefine Dahlqvist is leading the investigation and does not want to comment on the case.
– It is too early in the investigation and sensitive information may come out, so I do not want to say anything.
