Charlotte Kalla’s honest words about Let’s Dance and what was worst about the TV show: “There was frustration”

Charlotte Kalla is a true Swedish sports hero.
But despite her ending her career, things have been busy lately.
Now she tells with honest words about what it was like in “Let’s Dance”.

When you think of Swedish skiing heroes through the ages, have Charlotte Kalla a very special place in the Swedish people’s home. She really broke through in 2008 when she became the first Swede to win the Tour de Ski.

Called success

After that, she has lined up successes over the years and the gold medals have been piled high. Last year, the 35-year-old decided to put an end to the successful career in cross-country skiing by hanging up the boots on the famous shelf.

Charlotte then looked forward to breathing out for the first time in a long time and not feeling any pressure on her. But with the winner’s head she has, it didn’t take long before she first agreed to the television program “Master of Champions”.

About “Let’s Dance”

But Kalla was forced to turn down the recordings due to an unexpected injury and a short time later it became the TV4 program “Let’s Dance” instead. In addition, there was the great news that she had become pregnant and was going to be a mother for the first time in her life.

For several weeks we have been able to follow Charlotte Kalla dancing in prime time and it ended with a second place in the Let’s Dance final which took place last weekend. Now she tells honestly about the upheaval time.
– It has contained so much more than I could have imagined. Emotions and above all mental challenges, the 35-year-old admits to Dagens Nyheter and is so proud of his effort.
– I stretched far outside my comfort zone with the dance, which is not what I felt most confident in before. But it was so cool now at the end to look back and see where I started, from being totally ignorant to actually being able to stand on a dance floor in front of an audience of millions and see that things have happened since March.

Kalla also reveals what was most troublesome about the TV recordings. And once again it’s the winner’s skull that takes over when she knows she could have done even better.
– There has also been a bit of frustration that there has been such a short time to prepare for, there have been things that could have been done better, she says in the interview.
