In New Delhi, a young man murdered a young girl in the street who had just broken up with him. Passers-by did not react. The scene, filmed by a surveillance camera, created a stir. The Hindu nationalist government, in power, seeks to use this emotion to accuse the Muslims.

The murder is savage brutality. CCTV footage circulating online shows Sahil Khan, a 20-year-old man, pushing a young woman against the wall of an alleyway, stabbing her violently dozens of times, before crushing her head with a concrete block. All while at least five people pass by, without intervening. The reason for such violence? The 16-year-old girl had just ended their relationship, and the man couldn’t have taken it.
The crime happened on Sunday evening in northern New Delhi. Sahil Khan was arrested on Monday. The tragedy created a great stir in the country, but what the ruling Hindu nationalist party remembers above all is that Sahil Khan is a Muslim, while his victim is a Hindu.
” So far, neither the boy’s family, nor the mullahs, nor any leader of his religion have expressed their sadness over this crime, nor condemned this act. says Manjinder Sirsa, a member of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Another BJP elected official claims that this crime is part of the love jihad, a conspiracy theory that claims that Muslims seek to marry Hindu women to convert them. The BJP offered financial assistance to the victim’s Hindu family.
