In an open letter to the chairman of the municipal board, Lars-Gunnar Nordlander (S), the opposition politicians ask, among other things, “At what other employer in Sweden would a manager who beats an employee be allowed to return to work?” The letter concludes: “It is quite clear that the handling means that the trust in both the current political leadership and the officials involved and concerned in the case has been used up”.
The letter is signed by opposition politicians from Vox Humana, the Liberals, the Left Party. The Christian Democrats and the Sweden Democrats.
– I don’t want to sound arrogant, but the opposition hasn’t had confidence in us in the leadership since 2019, so it’s nothing new, says municipal councilor Lars-Gunnar Nordlander (S).
He also says that there are some things that didn’t work, including that it took far too long before the municipality’s investigation got started, among other things due to the fact that the report got stuck in the digital systems.
The municipality of Härjedalen is governed by the Social Democrats, the Center Party and the Moderates, who together hold 17 of the 31 mandates in the municipal council.
