Drone attack on Moscow a worrying rise in tension

This Tuesday, May 30, at least eight Ukrainian drones were shot down in the Moscow region, according to the Russian authorities, while some sources report a larger number of devices. All were reportedly shot down either using electronic equipment or by defense systems with surface-to-air missiles. An attack which, according to the mayor of Moscow, caused some material damage and injured two people. This is not the first time such an attack has been carried out. At the beginning of May, for example, Ukraine carried out an attack targeting the Kremlin, according to American intelligence services.
