A child under the age of five has fallen from an apartment in Fröslunda, outside Eskilstuna. The child is considered to be seriously injured, the police write on their website.
The child has been taken to hospital by ambulance. Later in the evening, the police state that the injuries are considered serious.
The police were on the scene with several resources, and have also spoken to people in the area to form an idea of what happened.
– It is a case with many question marks, says Dennis Johansson Strömberg, press spokesperson at the police.
A preliminary investigation has been launched into causing bodily harm, but no one is currently suspected of a crime.
Dennis Johansson Strömberg states that they think they know which building the child must have fallen from.
– But I cannot give any details, so that the witnesses are not influenced. Their information is important so that we can get clarity on what happened, he says.
