The Hisingsbron in Gothenburg got stuck in the folded position on Monday evening. The bridge was completely closed to traffic for over an hour.
All tram departures over the bridge were canceled and eleven bus routes were rerouted, leading to significantly longer journey times.
At Hisingen, a derby is played between Häcken and IFK Göteborg in the Allsvenskan, and in Slottsskogen on the mainland side, the running competition Vårruset is arranged, which led to more people than usual being affected by the disturbance.
Most recently in March, the Hisingsbron got stuck in the raised position, and then it also took just over an hour before traffic could be allowed to open again.
