The alarm came shortly before one o’clock in the morning on Monday. Emergency services, police and ambulance were alerted after callers saw smoke developing. A hard-to-extinguish fire raged on site. Firefighters worked to put out the fire during the night, but the house was not saved.
– The task I have is that it is a small rental property where renovation work has been going on. I don’t know if there has been anyone living there or not, says Jimmy Modin, press spokesperson for the police.
According to SOS alarm, no one should accompany the ambulance.
Technical examination
During Monday morning, the rescue service remains on site to monitor the fire. The police have drawn up a report regarding arson – but so far there are no concrete suspects.
– It is so that we can investigate the cause of the fire, says Jimmy Modin.
The police will carry out a technical investigation as soon as the fire scene has cooled down.
