Five Sarnia-area co-workers will share $174,000 after winning the second prize in the Lotto Max April 7 draw, says the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp.
Anthony Fanelli, Morag Churchill, Neil Font, Robert McNeil and Tyrone Green work in the engineering industry and have been buying lottery tickets together since 2016, the corporation said in a news release.
“I checked the numbers and I couldn’t believe it,” Green said. “What are the odds of that?”
Members of the group said their plans for their share of the prize include home renovations, a new bike and helping family pay for university.
The winning ticket was purchased at Seo Mini Mart on Exmouth Street in Sarnia.
