The Finnish men’s national volleyball team beat Estonia in three sets. Finnish all-rounder Antti Ronkainen shone on the field on Saturday evening. On Wednesday, the opponent is the Czech Republic.

On Saturday, the Finnish men’s national volleyball team started the summer Golden League with a crushing 3–0 (25–17, 25–16, 25–15) away victory over Estonia.
– It was a great performance from Finland, although Estonia helped this result a little. Finland’s game remained well under control, while only a few moments produced pain. The last two sets were very similar, when Estonia came from behind to equalize, but the rest of the sets were dominated by Finland, Urheilu’s volleyball expert Timo Tolvanen said on the air.
Finland dominated the Group C match played in Tartu from start to finish. Finland was far ahead of its opponent, especially when it came to ending attacks.
Chopper Joonas Jokelan the percentage of successful attacks completed was a high 62. The all-rounder also excelled in the Finnish team Antti Ronkainen.
Finland was more careful on the field than its opponent. Estonia had 19 fouls in the match, Finland nine.
– I wouldn’t want to single out anyone from the group that played particularly well as a team, but yes Miro Leinonen performed well in his first full game. Miika Haapaniemi came very maturely on the field in the third period, Finland’s head coach Joel Banks commented in the Volleyball Association’s announcement.
In the Golden League, Finland next meets the Czech Republic in an away game in Zlin on Wednesday. On Saturday night, in the second match of Group C, the Czech Republic beat Slovakia 3–1 (24–26, 25–20, 25–19, 25–17).
