At the scene, the police found a dead horse and the man was arrested on suspicion of aggravated weapons offences, animal cruelty and vandalism.

The man was then arrested on Friday morning.

Peruvian police have seized 58 one-kilo packages of cocaine that had a picture of a Nazi flag on the outside and the name Hitler in relief, writes TT.

The drug was found in a shipping container of asparagus on board a Liberian-flagged ship in the port of Paita in northern Peru.

An explosion has occurred on a street on Södermalm in central Stockholm.

The alarm about the loud bang on Magnus Ladulåsgatan came at 01:00 on the night of Friday.

Pictures from the scene show blown out windows from a room on the street level. Shards of glass lie along the pavement.

– It is some form of detonation. Something has snapped there. We have no information about personal injuries. It must be panes of glass that have broken, says Josefin Lindblom, line operator at Greater Stockholm’s fire service, to Expressen.

The detonation is said to have taken place near a preschool which has its premises along the street.

Japanese police have arrested a person suspected of killing four people, including two police officers, in the city of Nakano in Japan, local media reports.

According to witnesses, the perpetrator was dressed in camouflage, masked and wearing sunglasses.

He stabbed his victims with a large knife and shot two police officers with a hunting rifle.

Now the Farmers’ Confederation, LRF, is preparing for a similar situation to that in summer 2018 – and restarting several crisis groups to support affected farmers. It reports Swedens radio.

Several people broke into a home outside Vollsjö in Sjöbo municipality this evening.

A cyclist was hit by a car in Åstorp outside Helsingborg early on Wednesday evening.

The motorist then departed the scene.

The cyclist, a man in his 30s. was injured and had to be taken to hospital by ambulance. According to Region Skåne, his injuries are considered life-threatening.

The police have not found either the car or the driver. According to witnesses, a gray van was involved in the accident, the police write on their website.

They urge anyone who has seen the car, or has other information, to contact them on 114 14.

The incident is being investigated as grievous bodily harm and contamination from a traffic accident.

At 15:00 on Thursday afternoon, a man in his 50s was found in the water at Ön in Limhamn in Malmö.

According to the Rescue Service, the man was found near the shore. He was taken to hospital for treatment.

Now the police announce that the man is dead. His next of kin have been notified.
