Four face long weekend impaired charges Lambton OPP

Four people were charged with impaired driving over the Victoria Day long weekend, Lambton OPP say.

That included a driver found asleep at the wheel early Sunday at a Tecumseh Road business on Walpole Island first Nation, police said.

A suspect was arrested and taken to the Lambton OPP detachment, where testing resulted in two samples over the legal limit, police said.

An Ancaster Township resident, 45, was charged with impaired driving and driving while prohibited.

The second arrest came as officers investigated a Sunday evening crash on Government Road in Grand Bend, police said.

After administering a roadside screening test, officers arrested a suspect, who was taken to the detachment, where testing produced two samples over the legal limit, police said.

A London resident, 20, was charged, police said.

Officers investigating arrested a third suspect after a collision early Monday at a West Ipperwash Road campground in Lambton Shores. A London resident, 40, was charged with impaired driving.

That same morning, officers arrested a suspect after a vehicle struck a parking barrier at an Ontario Street business in Lambton Shores.

A Grand Bend resident, 39, was charged with impaired driving and refusing to give a breath sample.
