Zeist – Running a marathon is not for everyone, but running 42.2 kilometers in your ambulance uniform with a 57 kilo stretcher in between you is a special achievement. This morning ambulance nurse Martijn Kalkhoven and ambulance driver Matthias Alberts were ready to set a new world record, because no one has ever run a marathon with a stretcher before, or as they call it: ‘stretcherathon’.
