It was around 18:00 that the police, emergency services and ambulance were called to central Åstorp after a collision between a bicycle and a car.
The cyclist, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital by ambulance. According to Region Skåne, the man has life-threatening injuries.
The motorist disappeared from the scene and the police are handling the case as an accidental accident.
– We have not managed to find the driver yet. If you have caused a traffic accident, you must take responsibility for your actions, says Rickard Lundqvist, police spokesperson.
According to witnesses, it is a gray van.
