An almost forgotten Marvel film where we have been waiting for part 3 for 12 years

In addition to the successful superhero films from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, an eccentric character like the Ghost Rider has now almost fallen into oblivion. In 2007 and 2011, Nicolas Cage appeared in two film adaptations of the comic series. On Thursday, Ghost Rider will be broadcast on VOX at 10:50 p.m. Most recently, superstar Ryan Gosling was considered for the role.

What is Ghost Rider about?

The story of the anti-hero from the Marvel Universe revolves around the famous motorcycle stunt rider Johnny Blaze. To save his dying father, he sells his soul to the devil and turns into the fiery demon on the hunt for bad guys every night.

The Ghost Rider series is still waiting for a comeback

After a sequel to the first part by Mark Steven Johnson appeared with Ghost Rider 2: Spirit of Vengeance, the character has been pretty quiet since 2011. In late 2021, The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus spoke about how he would very much like to be the new Ghost Rider.

Then, in mid-2022, Ryan Gosling said Ghost Rider was the only role he would come to the Marvel Universe for. But to this day there is no information or even hints that a new Ghost Rider movie is planned. Neither with Reedus nor with Gosling nor with the original Star Cage.
