Here is our day-to-day ranking of the films presented at the Cannes Film Festival, seen by our special correspondent. The Palme d’or 2023 will be awarded on Saturday May 27 by the jury chaired by Swedish director (and Palme d’or 2017 and 2022) Ruben Östlung and composed of directors Atiq Rahimi (Afghanistan/France), Damián Szifron (Argentina), Julia Ducournau (France), Rungano Nyoni (Zambia), Maryam Touzani (Morocco) and actors Denis Ménochet (France), Brie Larson (USA) and Paul Dano (USA).
So far, 19 of the 21 films in the running for the Palme d’Or 2023 have been presented at the Cannes Film Festival. Here is our ranking:
