It is a great leap in space and time. In NO ME, filmmaker Sana Na N’Hada takes us to Guinea-Bissau in the 1960s, during the war of independence. Its hero is a young man, young villager. Banished from his community for having impregnated a village girl, he left his village to take up arms against the Portuguese soldiers. NO ME is presented at the Cannes Film Festival in the ACID parallel section.
