Reetta Hurske won the international 100-meter hurdles competition held in Italy with the best time. Hurske’s time was the second best of his career.
Reetta Hurske ran to victory in the 100m hurdles in Italy. Hurskee’s winning time was an excellent 12.80 and is only 0.02 seconds short of the record time he ran in 2019. At the same time, it is the domestic peak time of the season.
– A surprisingly good time, even though the run was a bit wobbly. I am also satisfied with the fact that it was a good time right away, even though there was only one run, Hurske stated in the Sports Association’s press release.
Hurske, who broke his records during the administration period and won the EC gold in the 60-meter hurdles, opened his season in the 100-meter hurdles in the Doha Diamond League in early May. At that time, he clocked a time of 12.92.
After Doha, Hurske took a break from all the hard training for a week. He also went to check his calf, as it was strained from the hard training of the spring camp.
In Savona, Hurskee’s time was set in a tailwind blowing two meters per second and in otherwise excellent conditions. According to Hurskee, the running spirit was not yet at its sharpest.
– I still feel that the body is under a lot of strain from the training and it will probably be enough for the next games as well. Now I have trained so that I can run well in June. Then the time for the games is tight, and there is no time to train much, Hurske stated.
– I was in a good mood during the run, even though my leg was a little tired.
In the race held in Savona, Denmark came second Mette Graversgaard with a record time of 12.83. Italian Elisa di Lazzarro was third in 13.05.
Finland’s fast rowing women have opened the season strongly, because on Tuesday Annimari Korte fired two hard times in Jyväskylä with 12.90 and 12.88 and returned to real action after injuries Nooralotta Neziri it was 1:04 p.m.
