On May 26-28, major work will be done on the water supply network in Gothenburg, and then the public is asked to take extra care with water.
The city’s mass mailing via SMS was already sent out at 4pm on Monday, but for various reasons some have only received the message at night.
– Due to the fact that it was such a very large shipment, it seems that the system was not able to send them all at once, but it has gone out in batches, says Helena Wall to GP.
How many people received nightly messages is unclear. In total, Gothenburg has 180 miles of water pipes and this weekend an extra so-called feeder pipe will be connected.
