Messaging service Whatsapp says it will soon allow users to edit their messages after they are sent. Among other things, the news covered the matter The British Broadcasting Company BBC (you will switch to another service).
According to Whatsapp, editing will be possible 15 minutes after sending the message. The message will have a note about editing, but not specifically about what message has been edited.
The feature will be rolled out in the coming weeks. Editing of messages is already possible in the services of WhatsApp’s competitors, such as Telegram and Signal.
Along with Facebook and Instagram, Whatsapp is a social media platform owned by the technology giant Meta. It has about two billion users.
