While evaluating the US F-16 decision, Russian Ambassador to Washington Anatoly Antonov made a statement that will increase the tension, claiming that there is not the necessary infrastructure, necessary number of pilots and maintenance personnel for the use of F-16s in Ukraine. “It is important for the United States to be fully aware of Russia’s reaction,” Antonov openly warned “management representatives”.
Russia’s Ambassador to Washington, Antonov, made a statement on his official Telegram account and said, “Washington has completely subordinated the G7 members to its own policy regarding the conflict in Ukraine. Moreover, he sharply solidified his approaches to two important issues. “I am talking about the preparations for the transfer of F-16 warplanes to the Kiev regime and the unconditional approval of attacks on Crimea with American and other Western weapons,” he said.
“USA NEVER INTERESTED IN PEACE”
Stating that the plans in question ‘show that the USA has never been interested in peace’, Antonov said, “Such steps clearly show once again that the USA has never been interested in peace and that our decision to conduct a special military operation was absolutely correct. “Since the 2014 coup in Kiev, all the United States wanted was a strategic defeat for Russia, and now it continues to fuel the fires of conflict.”
WARNING FROM ANTONOV
Emphasizing that possible air strikes against Crimea would be considered a direct attack on Russian territory, Antonov said:
“Every expert knows that Ukraine does not have the necessary infrastructure for the use of F-16s, nor does it have the necessary number of pilots and maintenance personnel. What if American warplanes take off from NATO airports operated by foreign ‘volunteers’? I would like to warn the representatives of the administration not to make rash judgments on the Crimea, particularly ‘allowing’ the Kiev regime for air strikes on the peninsula. I would like to remind you that attacks on this region will be considered by us as an attack on any part of the Russian Federation. It is important for the United States to be fully aware of Russia’s response.”

Underlining the use of Hiroshima, where the summit was held, as a symbol of peace, Antonov said, “In the G7 declaration on Ukraine, it was stated that Hiroshima is a kind of ‘peace symbol’. The Americans did not even think of apologizing to the Japanese people for the nuclear bombings. Judging by the above-mentioned statements of the administration officials, Hiroshima is now becoming a ‘symbol of war’ provoked by the US’s actions against our country.
ANTONOV RESPONSE FROM PODOLIAK
Mikhail Podolyak, Advisor to the Office of the President of Ukraine, responded to Antonov’s statement on Crimea. Making a statement on his social media account, Podolyak said, “Crimea is an indisputable and inseparable part of Ukraine. It was, is and will remain so. The liberation of Crimea using all kinds of military force and means is the only rational way to stop the ‘Russian attacks’ and return the world to international law. This is Ukraine’s direct obligation and necessity today.
