Prudent, the company indeed adopts a progressive approach in order to improve its product according to the feedbacks of the users. And like the web version, the ChatGPT app is free!
Like the website, the app allows chatting with ChatGPT by asking all kinds of questions. Official charGPT app: already on iOS, soon on Android
One of the exclusive options of the application is the possibility of communicating with ChatGPT by voice, without having to use a keyboard. This feature is based on Whisper, OpenAI’s open-source voice recognition system, compatible with 99 languages. OpenAI specifies that chat history will be synced across all connected devices unless this feature is disabled. Finally, the application interface is clean, with a conversation displayed on a black or white background.
iPhone users will no longer need to go through third-party solutions to talk to ChatGPT. So far, the lack of an official app has led to the creation of many unofficial ChatGPT apps, some posing as OpenAI-edited solutions. These unofficial applications sometimes charge for the use of the chatbot, which is however completely free via a web browser. However, with the arrival of the official application, we can expect these applications to gradually disappear.
