Central African Republic: after 16 months of detention, the Frenchman Rémy Quignolot returns to Paris

Central African Republic after 16 months of detention the Frenchman

Frenchman Rémy Quignolot returned to Paris this Sunday, May 21 at dawn. He was able to leave Bangui Thursday evening in the direction of Gabon, for medical reasons. His family had asked that the information remain confidential until his return. Rémy Quignolot spent 16 months in prison in the Central African Republic where he is accused of espionage, without having been tried. At the end of September, he had benefited from a provisional release, following a hunger and thirst strike which had weakened him. The charges against him are not lifted, but this medical evacuation is a sign to France.
