A motorcycle rider in his 20s has been seriously injured in an accident outside Luleå.
The accident occurred on Saturday afternoon in connection with a motorcycle police officer trying to stop the motorcycle rider. It was a chase where the speed was high, witnesses told Norrbottens-Kuriren and Norrländska Socialdemokraten.
– The police motorcycle attempted to stop and began a pursuit. After a short pursuit, the fleeing motorcycle drives off the road, says Fredrik Nilsson at the police in the North region to TT.
He says the motorcycle driver is suspected of illegal driving.
The injured motorbike driver was taken to hospital by ambulance. According to Region Norrbotten, the man is seriously injured and is being cared for in the intensive care unit.
