There are a variety of reasons why some Netflix series keep you waiting for new episodes for far too long. More than 3 years Netflix break: The Victims’ Game

The Taiwanese thriller series follows a forensic investigator with Asperger’s Syndrome who discovers his estranged daughter is involved in a mysterious series of murders. Netflix ordered a second season back in September 2020, but the streaming giant has not yet announced a start date for the sequel.

3 year Netflix break: Blood of Zeus

The Blood of Zeus animated series blends Greek mythology with epic fantasy action. Netflix placed a lot of faith in the series from the animation studio behind Castlevania and Masters of the Universe: Revelation, ordering two more seasons just weeks after launch. So far there is no information about a possible return date.

3 years Netflix break: Sweet Home

Fans of the post-apocalyptic horror series from South Korea are already used to waiting. After launching in December 2020, it took Netflix a year and a half to decide on the future of the series. Luckily, Sweet Home has been extended for two seasons, which are already finished. In the 4th quarter of 2023, after a three-year break, season 2 should finally continue.

Almost 3 years Netflix break: Hilda

The animation series Hilda is a heartwarming and fantastic series, but it’s quite slow going. Fans had to wait more than two years between the first two seasons. Another year later, the film Hilda and the Mountain King followed on Netflix. But this is not a conclusion, because a third and final season was ordered in November 2021. A start date is not yet available. Based on the production time of the previous seasons, the finale could be released before the end of the year.

More than 2 years Netflix break: Ragnarok

Do you remember Ragnarok? More than three years ago, the Norwegian fantasy coming-of-age series began about the battle between reincarnated deities and mythical figures from Norse mythology in a small town. After the launch of the second season, Netflix commissioned another final season, which will finally be released more than two years later. Since the season has been filming since summer 2022, we firmly expect a release later this year.

More than 2 years Netflix break: Lupin

Gentleman crook Assane Diop’s first adventures stormed the Netflix charts in 2021, and the streaming service didn’t hesitate to extend it. When Lupine returns in October 2023, fans will have had to wait over two years for the new season. Unfortunately, there will only be seven episodes.

2 year Netflix hiatus: DP

The South Korean drama series DP is still an insider tip in this country. The story about a young soldier who is transferred to a unit that captures deserters is emotional, harrowing and damn good. After a two-year hiatus, the series is returning for another season.

2 year Netflix break: Sex Education

The 3rd season of the popular Netflix series Sex Education aired over 20 months ago. In the fall of 2023, teen comedy is finally making a comeback after a two-year wait. In this case, if you don’t remember everything, it doesn’t matter too much. Because season 4 will be a small reboot – and could already be the last season of Sex Education.
