A lot will change at Disney+ in the coming weeks and months. Since the streaming service will launch in the second quarter of 2023 four million subscribers lost the consequences will now be drawn. As Deadline reports, Disney + is removing 31 films and series from its program worldwide – and that’s not all.
Among other things, three small Marvel projects and the underestimated fantasy series Willow are affected. Apparently, Disney+ is parting ways with the original productions that not successful enough were to keep them longer in the program. Popular titles like The Mandalorian and the big Marvel series are not affected by the austerity measures.

Some titles that were released exclusively on the Hulu streaming service in the USA are also affected. Some Hulu content like Y: The Last Man has appeared on Disney+ in Germany, which means that we will be able to even more exits have to calculate. The films and series will be removed for cost reasons.

Disney isn’t the only media company that has its own Streaming strategy reconsidered. Most recently, Warner Bros. Discovery in particular caused a stir with drastic savings on the streaming service Max (formerly HBO Max). Here, too, numerous films and series have disappeared from the archive.
