There are no fewer than five World Tour teams at the start this year, including Jayco-AlUla with Dylan Groenewegen from Vinkeveen. Groenewegen has already won the race four times and will try to achieve his fifth victory in Veenendaal this year. A great challenge for Budding: “The only way I can beat Groenenwegen is to sprint faster. And that will be very difficult, I realize that myself. But I just want to see where I stand”.
