The MMORPG Guild Wars 2 finally continues with a major update

ArenaNet, the developer behind the Guild Wars series, recently leaked that at the end of May, the second free update will continue the story of End of Dragons, the latest expansion to Guild Wars 2. The fans are excited to see what follows and are relieved in the meantime. The reason for this may surprise some of you.

What is this update? After the first update What lies beneath? – the sixteenth chapter of the story – will follow at the end of May with the title What lies within? the second free update to the current extension. Guild Wars 2, like The Elder Scrolls Online, places a lot of emphasis on story.

The meta-event that started in Gyala Depression in February is now coming to an end. In addition to the story expansion, the following features await you in detail:

  • The Special Ops armor set
  • The Mining Hand Drill mace
  • The Xunlai Nephrite Crusher Hammer
  • A mini phoenix
  • New collection challenges in Jade Bot Drone mode
  • Target practice with Siege Turtles
  • Skiff Race

Fans have gotten tired of the neon green style in End of Dragons

What do the fans say about this? On Reddit (via Reddit), users are looking forward to the end of the End of Dragons expansion as they now hope for new information on upcoming content. So user JasonLucas writes: This is also the last EoD patch. That means we’ll be getting news about the next expansion soon.

Some fans suspect that the update to the End of Dragons DLC will at least tease the direction of the new expansion. In addition to Guild Wars 2, there are also other MMORPGs that rely more on story.

Alongside this, many Reddit users are expressing hope for the end of something that may well surprise, namely the color neon green, which is probably used in excess. The armor, weapons and the whole DLC are heavily saturated with green jade rock. Here’s how Reddit users put it:

  • User JubX: I have nothing against green, I’m just annoyed by the LOT of green since EoD was launched.
  • User teknim: Man, I’ve had enough of the corrosive green paint.
  • Whether developer ArenaNet will come up trumps with a different design in another expansion can only be speculated at this point. The fact is that many fans want a different style. Story-wise, the End of Dragons expansion has certainly convinced the author so far.
