– It rained until four and then it started to snow, says Tord Andnor who is in Andåsvallen outside Älvros where the ground was properly covered with snow this morning.
Although winter made a return visit this morning, spring is on its way to the county.
Andreas Gyllenhammar, who has been monitoring Storsjön’s ice cover for many years, writes this Wednesday morning:
“Last night, just before dark, the ice cover on Storsjöflaket dissolved. Last weekend’s summer heat did good preparatory work on this year’s thick ice cover on the flatbed, and wind combined with rain quickly ended this year’s ice period.”
