The municipal finances in Utrecht are not doing well. This is evident from the spring memorandum presented today. If policy remains unchanged, a deficit of 72 million euros is imminent in 2027. The shortfalls mainly arise in youth care and the Wmo, the Social Support Act. And so cutbacks must be made, especially in the social domain.
