Watering restrictions in Norfolk County came into effect on Monday (May 15).

Under the restrictions, home and business owners in Courtland, Delhi Port Dover, Simcoe, St. Williams and Waterford should only water lawns, plants and vegetables and flowers between the hours of 9 am to 11 am and from 7 pm to 10 pm

Homes with odd house numbers should only water on odd calendar days while homes with even house numbers should water on even calendar days. The restrictions remain in place until Sept. 15.

There is an exemption for newly planted sod for the first 24 hours after planting. However, proof of planting or installation much be provided upon request.
