SVT was able to accompany the family when they visited the place that used to be their home for the first time on Sunday.
– It was hard to get here. I wasn’t prepared for that. I’ve tried to stay strong and I haven’t shed a tear, but when I got here it got thick in my throat, says Magnus Fennhagen.
“Terrible – everything is gone”
The family of five has lived in the apartment on Hertsön for ten years.
– I just think about everything we’ve done. All Christmas and birthday parties… Where the family has been gathered. It is right there in the big gap, says Magnus Fennhagen.
The family says that it is tough right now, but they are trying to see the glimmers of light.
– You can’t dig yourself in, then you won’t get ahead, says Beatrice Torneus.
