She’s done it again!
Loreen wins the Eurovision Song Contest.
She becomes the first woman ever to win the competition twice.
It was eleven years ago, now she’s doing it again. Loreen wins the Eurovision Song Contest with Tattoo. She was tipped to win the entire competition even before and it went all the way.
– I am so happy! says Loreen when the results are ready.
And Loreen is making history – she is the first woman to win the Eurovision Song Contest twice. The first time was in 2012 when she won the competition with Euphoria. The only person who has previously managed to win the competition twice is Irishman Johnny Logan.
Loreen got the most 12s from the jury
Even before the evening, it was predicted to be an even fight between Finland’s Käärijä and Loreen, and so it was. After the jury distributed their scores, Loreen was in a commanding lead, but when Finland later received a total of 386 points from the viewers, they edged past Sweden. To win, Loreen needed at least 176 points from the viewers – and she got it! In total, she got 583 points.

Eurovision Song Contest 2024 is held in Sweden
Last year, it was Ukraine that took home the glorious win in the Eurovision Song Contest with its entry Stefania by the band Kalush Orchestra. But because of the war, this year’s competition was now held in Liverpool, Great Britain.
And next year it will be Sweden that will hold the competition!
