Tonight the Eurovision song contest is decided.
Finland and Sweden are tipped advance favorites – and Looren can become historic as the first woman to win the competition twice.
– We must not be defeated by Sweden, says Finland’s Kalle Salmela on site in Liverpool.
21.00 is the time and the probability that Loreen and her “Tattoo” will take home a seventh Swedish victory in the Eurovision Song Contest is over 50 percent, according to the betting companies.
But it is far from an obvious outcome, as Finland’s Käärijä appeared as a literal old man in the box. His high-energy number, performed inside and on a box made of pallets, is seen as the real contender for victory.
Right now, according to the betting companies, Käärijä has a 21 percent chance of winning Eurovision. His “Cha cha cha” is a mix of rap, metal and electronic music – in Finnish.
“Käärijä can’t sing”
Among the Finnish fans that TV4 Nyheterna has spoken to, the hope is high – but also the concern that Sweden will row home another victory.
– I’m a bit upset because Loreen has already won once, so I want Finland to win.
And I’m so happy that we get so much support from all sides, I think almost every country
in Europe like Käärija and his song and I like it too, I love it, says Anne Lång.
– We must not be defeated by Sweden. But the sad thing is that Loreen can actually sing but Käärijä can’t, but he has a much better feeling, says Kalle Salmela.
