There is no doubt that Sweden’s and Finland’s entries in Eurovision are favourites.
TV4 News reporter Filip Stiller Borowicz says they have different strengths – and will end up in the top three.
– The Finnish threat is constant. We can’t charge anything in advance because people love Käärijä’s number, that’s very clear.
On Friday’s general rep, Loreen saves her energy for Friday night’s jury general rep, while Käärijä gets better and better sound in the arena.
– Käärijä actually sings better and better with each rep, he’s not a vocalist, he’s a rapper. But you manage to fix the sound so that it sounds better the more reps he makes.
Sweden’s and Finland’s contributions are expected to weigh differently with viewers and the jury.
– Most people believe that Loreen will have more jury points than Käärijä will have, but that the relationship will be reversed when it comes to viewers. The question then is how big the gap will be between them and who will draw the longest straw. I think it can be quite even.
With less than a day to go, nerves are on edge in Liverpool, and many believe that it will be a Nordic battle.
– That it is between Loreen and Finland, that they will finish in the top three, we can be sure of that.
