Bianca Ingrosso on the Intimissimi criticism: “Has responsibility”

The underwear company Intimissimi is accused of poor working conditions in an investigation by Aftonbladet.
Bianca Ingrosso is the Swedish “ambassador” for the company and comments on the data in Efter fem:
– I don’t believe in boycotting anyone or a cancel culture.

Bianca Ingrosso is current with the new documentary series “Imperiet Bianca”, which is about her path to becoming a successful entrepreneur and influencer. For Efter fem, Bianca Ingrosso tells us that her success has a flip side:

– It is good that I have opportunities to change with the power I have. I take that very seriously. It’s bad because people can make huge demands on my shoulders that I can’t live up to, she says.

It has been targeted hard criticism against Bianca Ingrosso after that The evening paper reviewed the underwear company Intimissimi for which Bianca Ingrosso is the face. In the review, thirteen former employees come forward and talk about bad working conditions with low wages, bullying and managers who, among other things, forced the employees to work – despite them being sick to their stomachs. There is also talk of ostracism if you don’t sell enough.

Now Bianca Ingrosso responds to the criticism in Efter fem

In After five, Bianca Ingrosso comments on the accusations against Intimissimi.

– It is regrettable to hear. We received the information at the same time as everyone else and we take it very seriously and are in close dialogue with the company.

She says that working conditions have always been an important issue for her.

– But details and improvement are left to the company.

Bianca Ingrosso thinks that there is a lot of room for the company to make an improvement and change.

– I don’t believe in boycotting anyone or cancel culture, debates like this can create improvement and change.

What responsibility do you feel, given that you are an ambassador?

– I have a lot of responsibility. When I meet my followers, I hope people understand that they are the ones I have in mind in every single choice I make, says Bianca Ingrosso to Efter fem.

CEO: “Lots of people want to work with us”

TV4 has contacted the underwear company Intimissimi for a comment. To The evening paper says Manuel Scarfone, Swedish CEO of Intimissimi’s parent company Calzedonia, that he does not recognize the stories that Aftonbladet published: “We have to abide by the law like all other companies in Sweden. Regarding the salary, for me it is difficult to compare because we do not know what our competitors pay. We get a lot of applications every week and every day. We recruit a lot of people who want to work with us, so I think they’re happy salary-wise when they apply for a job with us.”
