A Pain Court resident faces an impaired driving causing bodily harm charge after a two-vehicle crash Wednesday night, Chatham-Kent police say.
A westbound pickup rear-ended a car, which went off the road and struck a utility pole, on Maple Line in the former Dover township about 8:30 pm, police said.
The car’s driver was taken to Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for treatment, police said. The pickup driver was treated at the scene by paramedics.
Total damage was estimated at $70,000, police said.
Officers suspected the pickup driver was impaired and took him to headquarters for breath tests.
A Pain Court man, 60, is charged with impaired driving causing bodily harm. He was released with a short date.
