With a new Lord of the Rings series, a Middle-earth anime next year and more live-action Lord of the Rings films planned, Tolkien’s world is more present than ever. But like in playful fantasy trailerwhich takes us to the Shire and Mordor, you certainly haven’t seen Frodo’s adventures.
Fantasy craze about new Lord of the Rings movie we’ll never see
The YouTube channel Curious Refuge has one using artificial intelligence Trailer for a new Lord of the Rings film adaptation with the signature of Wes Anderson create. The fan project tells us the well-known fantasy story of Frodo and the Annihilation of the Ring using the cinematic means for which the cult director is known. Entitled The Whimsical Fellowship, the video shows the mind game of a remake of the first Lord of the Rings book:

Since Wes Anderson is known not only for his symmetrical images and his idiosyncratic storytelling style, but also for the actors:innen with whom he works again and again, the fictional Lord of the Rings trailer is included stars just so peppered: Dune-Star particularly stand out Timothee Chalamet as Frodo, Bill Murray as Gandalf, Tilda Swinton as Galadriel and Willem Dafoe as Gollum (at minute 1:16).
Fantasy fans already react euphorically under the video and name the creation “bizarre”but “shockingly good”. It’s a whole new look at Middle-earth. However, it is unlikely that the otherwise strictly protected Tolkien trademark of The Lord of the Rings will ever see the light of day in such a version.
For more Wes Anderson, catch the movie Asteroid City in theaters next month. And after past AI experiments like Lord of the Rings characters in the Disney look, the trailer will certainly not be the last gimmick that Frodo and Co. interpret in a new way.
