Svenska spel is looking for three people who have drawn the winning lottery: one million each.
But getting hold of the winners has not proven to be so easy.
– If I end up having to go to each winner and knock on the door, that’s what I will do, says Daniel Arnkvist, winner communicator at Svenska Spel Tur.
Players who have played the joker lotto between October 30 and April 29 automatically advance to the “second chance” draw, which is drawn twice a year.
In total, there are 20 people who have won a million each – but three who don’t know about their luck yet.
– We have three winners. One from Älmhult, one from Västervik and one from Järfälla that we long to get our hands on, says Daniel Arnkvist.
How common is it that you don’t get hold of the winner?
– I would say that it is quite unusual. But sometimes it is like that. I have seen in the past that someone has been on holiday in Thailand and didn’t want to check the phone and when they get home they are met with a happy message, says Daniel Arnkvist.
Svenska Spel has now sent out physical letters in a new attempt and expects to get hold of the winners within a few days.
– As soon as they have checked the mailbox, we will get a call and it is always just as fun, says Daniel Arnkvist and continues:
– We will try until we succeed. And if I end up having to go to every winner and knock on the door, that’s what I’ll do but I’m confident it’ll work itself out this week.
