DRC governor of Tanganyika province dismissed by deputies

The governor of Tanganyika province, a member of the UDPS and currently living in Kinshasa, was stripped of her duties on Monday 8 May. Of the 25 elected members of the provincial assembly, 14 deputies voted for his departure. Among those who voted for this motion and who blame it in particular for embezzlement, some are from the opposition, others are members of the Union for the Nation which supports the Head of State. Julie Ngungwa had succeeded Zoé Kabila after his forfeiture.
