Soest – Sharon van Rouwendaal took silver in Egypt at the first world cup competition of this year in the open water. The swimmer from Soest finished second behind the German Leonie Beck after five rounds of two kilometers off the coast of Soma Bay. Brazil’s Ana Marcela Cunha, who won Olympic gold in Tokyo two years ago, was third.
